The True History of Numerology
The original history of numerology is somewhat cloudy with no definite answer and most numerologists believe that the Egypt and Babylon have the earliest history of numerology. There is also evidence for the usage of the numerology thousands of years ago in Rome, China, Japan, and Greece. However, the development of the modern numerology all happened with the help of the Greek philosopher Pythagoras, who born in Greece in 590 BC. There is only little written evidence of the early numerology that was taught in the early numerology school of the era.
Numerology is believed to be one of the oldest forms of the metaphysical interpretation and communication and numbers are used in this method. The numbers are believed to be the language intelligence and in earlier days, people used numbers, scribing methods, and markings to communicate, trade, and exchange their thoughts. The four perfect numbers 6, 28, 496, and 8128 is being used in this practice from the early period, and there is no evidence for these discoveries. Throughout the ages, numerology has always fascinated many people with its cabalism, precipitation, mystical fusion, and excitement.
Every numerologist believes that each number has certain power or vibration that cannot be expressed by the symbol or figure. Philosophers such as Pythagoras and Cornelius Agrippa have contributed much to the numerological interpretation. According to these philosophers, all things in this universe have numbers and all the numbers of the tangible or intangible body holds a meaning. Many modern numerologists make use of this principle with their own changes to the method they follow. For example, birth date of a person is combined to find out their personal traits and strength. Sometimes, birth date is linked and read using simple mathematical calculation, then deciphered to forecast the future events of a person.
Dr. Julia Steton named the science of names and numbers as numerology. There are three versions of numerology available today: the Chaldean, the Kabbalah, and the Pythagorean. Each version has different methods of calculation and each offers various forecasting's about the future of a person. The Chaldean system is considered as the original practice, in which every alphabet is assigned a number. Chaldean numerology always uses compound numbers and number 9 is considered as the holy number, so it is kept apart from other vibrations. It is up to an individual to choose the different version of numerology to predict their future using numbers.
